Puspek is a fire research center. Initially joined under the planning and research development section. After departmental restructuring in 2006, the planning and research division operated at BBB KLIA, sepang. Puspek has moved into a new building at Enstek value in 2014. The new facade of the puspek was officiated by YB Minister of KPKT, Datuk Abd.Rahman Dahlan on 11 december on 11 December 2014

1. Firefighting Operation Review:
- Analyzes fire-related data
- Study & research the effectiveness of fire fighting equipment / equipment
- Research on new and effective fire fighting tactics
- Study & do research technical specifications of new equipment / hardware fire suppression
- Make latest test of fire fighting product / equipment
- Conduct studies on the effectiveness of fire fighting for special fire risk
- Conduct studies & research on the effectiveness of disaster management involving CBRNE (Chemical, Biology, Radiology, Nuclear & Explosion)
2. Rescue Operation Review:
- Analyzes data related to rescue
- Research & research on the effectiveness of equipment / safety equipment
- Research on new and effective rescue operations tactics
- Study & do research on technical specifications of new equipment / hardware rescue
- Make latest product test / rescue equipment
- Conducting research on the effectiveness of rescue for industrial disasters & natural disasters
3. Fire Safety Installation Study:
- Make research & research on building PKK
- Research on humanity & environment related fire safety factors
- Executing the latest / new building effectiveness & PKK Certification Exam
- Review of building PKK standards / specifications / specifications
- Make research and research proposals for use and market in the State
- Conduct studies on Fire Safety & Science
- Coordinate research & development of the Fire Safety industry
4. Fire Behavior Review:
- Human behavior studies, fire science & environment during the fire, industrial & natural disasters
- Review & perform behavioral behavioral surveys in emergency execution operations
- Conducting a scientific study of fire behavior of building materials and related safety of building fire
